Carefully managing how much data you use on your phone so you don't
exceed your bandwidth cap can be real hassle if you don't have an
unlimited data plan.
To ease that stress, Google has updated its Data Saver feature for Chrome on Android to reduce data consumption by up to 70%.
It also save much-needed more battery and memory .
With Data Saver switched on, Chrome will automatically load websites
without images — leaving only text — when it detects a slow connection.
Users can then load images on a per-tap basis. Android users can turn
this on within Chrome by going to Settings > Data Saver > On and iOS users can do so by going to Settings > Bandwidth > Data Saver > On.
By stripping out images, Chrome is able to load websites faster and save your precious data for more important things, like videos of sweet little kittens.
The newly updated Data Saver mode is rolling out to Android Chrome
users in India and Indonesia first, but Google promises more countries
will get the extra data savings in the "coming months." Android Chrome
users with Data Saver already turned on don't need to take any
additional steps; just wait for it to activate on the back end. Google
didn't mention any update for IOS users.
its amazing
